It happens many times that you do subscribe to online event, webinars and training classes. Especially for work. And, when you are at the end the classical page appears in front of you:

Different “add-to-calendar” options

Now, if you are a “geek” user like me and are forcing yourself to use OWA, especially for Office 365, you might have had this question before tons ot times: how do I add this to my OWA Calendar?

Unfortunately, AFAIK, there is no quick and easy option. If you ask to send yourself an Outlook reminder, you will receive a .ICS file that OWA will hardly interpret. So, here is my tip.

  1. Click on the Google Calendar icon and have the browser open up the event in your Google Calendar
  2. Add your corp email account as a participant
  3. Click save

You will magically receive an invitation to your corp calendar with a link to accept!

Event received in my OWA inbox

And that’s it!

Why does this work? Because I am a heavy Gmail user and obviously I am logged-in in the same browser. But hey, this can save you few clicks, some minutes and especially you will never forget the next webinar to attend.

Give it a try!
